Petri Heiskanen
I’m a designer with over 20 years of experience shaping digital products, brands, and services. My focus is on visual design, brand identity, and design systems — helping companies build a consistent, scalable design foundation that looks good and works even better.
I believe design should feel clear, human, and approachable. Whether it’s a complex enterprise tool or a consumer app, my role is to make sure the product not only functions but also communicates — reflecting the brand in a way that feels authentic and easy to use.
Over the years, I’ve worked with companies ranging from fast-moving startups to large organizations, always aiming to bring clarity and visual strength to their digital presence. I enjoy projects where design is treated not just as decoration, but as a way to create real value for people and businesses alike.

Background
Before starting my independent practice, I spent the majority of my career at Idean (now part of Frog / Capgemini Invent), where I worked as Creative Director, Principal Designer, and ultimately SVP of Design. My focus wasn’t just on individual projects, but on the bigger picture: how to grow teams, foster talent, and maintain world-class design quality across multiple studios.
I had the privilege of leading and mentoring hundreds of designers, shaping a culture that valued both craft and impact. My role meant balancing inspiration with rigor — ensuring that every design decision, from the smallest detail to the largest transformation, supported the client’s goals and elevated the overall experience.
At Idean, I helped build a framework where designers could thrive: raising the bar for quality, developing design education programs, and scaling design leadership as the company expanded globally. That experience taught me not only how to deliver great design, but how to create the conditions where great design consistently happens.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating closely with Matias Vaara on several projects. Matias brings a rare combination of strategic thinking, UX expertise, and AI know-how, which makes him an invaluable partner in shaping digital products that are not only beautifully designed but also meaningful and effective.
Where my focus often lies in visual and brand design, Matias complements this with deep insight into product strategy and user experience. He has a sharp ability to connect business goals with user needs and to bring clarity in complex projects.
Whether it’s framing the big picture, facilitating workshops, or exploring how AI can unlock new opportunities, Matias has consistently elevated the work we’ve done together. Many of the projects showcased here would not exist in their current form without his contribution.
